Scotland – a world away but they do speak English! Wow what an experience!

Scotland is a real insider tip. Visit the Highlands, Highland Games, ancient castles and all those amazing “Game of Thrones” sites.
Immerse yourself in our unique culture – our ceilidhs, which are nights of energetic Scottish dancing, Highland Games where men in kilts battle to be the strongest, amazing landscapes – the Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, the Western Isles and enjoy our diverse cities – historic Edinburgh, vibrant and friendly Glasgow.
Scotland is a small country with easy access to London and all the European cities and cheap flights make it possible to travel widely during your stay here.
Our au pairs say they find Scottish people to be friendlier and more laid-back than our English neighbours – take out a map to find your bearings and you will invariably have a friendly Scot asking you where you would like to go and offering directions.

Come to Scotland and enjoy a unique experience our wonderful partner agency Au Pair Ecosse do their best to help our au pairs make friends quickly. They hold welcome meetings several times a year, have a regular newsletter highlighting social events, festivals, Highland Games, Doors Open Days and flagging up new arrivals. Testimonial

Bianca, Melbourne

“Au pairing in Scotland has been one of the best experiences of my life, hands down. I have a great rapport with my host children and parents, and I feel as if I’ve become just another member of the family. I’ve also made so many amazing friends and done an infinite number of fun, exciting and interesting things here and abroad – I hardly know where to begin. Scotland – rich in history, enchanting and cosmopolitan – has become my home away from home. Even the weather hasn’t managed to dampen my spirits or stopped me from doing any of the things that I’ve wanted to do – though my waterproof jacket and umbrella have definitely come in handy! If you are looking for a place abundant with natural beauty that is only a stone’s throw away from civilisation and all the perks of the modern age, look no further than Scotland.”
