I am a great believer in cultural exchanges, it can be a wonderful reciprocal arrangement with many benefits for all parties involved. I have actually been on both sides of the cultural exchange arrangement – in my youth I had the opportunity to do an agricultural exchange for 9 months in Canada and as my own children were growing up we were involved as a host family with exchange students. I have also coached and managed both junior and Senior Equestrian teams nationally and internationally and am the mother of 2 wonderful daughters now in their early 20s, both independent and well-travelled.

JCR has 2 wonderful staff members, an inbound and an outbound co-ordinator, both ladies have their own families, one has teenage children and the other has a younger child.

So, between us we have a good grasp of the varied Au Pair and host family situations.
